Completed Expeditions

Since its inception in 2012, IRIAE has carried out and completed several archaeological expeditions, some of them among the most important in recent decades.

Starting with the discovery of Kubilai Khan's Fleet, it has expanded its fields of research from terrestrial to underwater and maritime archaeology.

While focusing its activities mainly in Asia, IRIAE has over time developed important collaborations all over the world.

The Kubilai Khan's Lost Fleet Project

Considered one of the major discoveries of the last 50 years, that of Kubilai Khan's Fleet changed the international view of a page of history and its implications.
